The other day, while visiting Jenny pond and I was photographing the mute swan chasing the Canada geese, suddenly overhead flew a flock of large birds identified as wild turkeys. They flew from tops of trees on my left and over the pond to trees on the right. The total turkeys were approximately 23 turkeys that were hanging out in the tops of the trees.
There was still to turkeys sitting in the trees on the left side, and I was keeping my eye on open that they would eventually fly. Suddenly I was distracted and turned my head away from the turkeys in the tree and by the time I turned back they had flown in past overhead.
Wild turkeys will nest in the trees to help keep them safe from predators at night
